Schneider Electric has launched the Schneider Electric Online Marketplace – an e-commerce platform that makes it easier and faster for electrical retailers to join the UAE’s digital economy.

The Schneider Electric Online Marketplace debut comes against the backdrop of strong e-commerce growth in the Emirates. According to a 2022 report by Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the value of the UAE’s e-commerce market is expected to reach $9.2 billion in 2026 as the government zeros in on efforts to build a competitive digital economy.

The launch of our e-commerce platform in the UAE marks a significant development in our digital transformation journey in the region,” stated Ahmed Khashan, President for Gulf Countries, Schneider Electric. “The Schneider Electric Online Marketplace is designed to redefine our entire retailer ecosystem through the introduction of efficient and digital ways of doing business.”The e-commerce platform will help businesses achieve fast delivery and secure payments across priority industries, including construction, hospitality, manufacturing, utilities and electrical retail.

We are thrilled to launch the Schneider Electric Online Marketplace in the UAE. It will significantly expand our reach as the retail industry pivots to e-commerce, providing our partners and customers with improved accessibility within the electrical retail landscape,” stated Alper Vargel, Schneider Electric, Vice President of Marketing for Gulf Countries. “Schneider Electric is leading the digital transformation of the electrical retail market in close collaboration with our channel partners.”

The e-commerce platform’s UAE market entry follows its successful rollout in Egypt, India, Singapore and Indonesia, and is set to be launched in other Gulf markets later this year. The launch coincided with the introduction of two new Schneider Electric products: Resi9 and AvatarOn C.
