Vijeo Designer displays error code 8502 while communicating with an Omron CJ2M-PLC35 controller.

Issue:
While communicating with an Omron Sysmac CJ2M-PLC35 Ethernet controller, the Vijeo Designer simulator displays the following error:
Error message: The device returned an error code. (8502) (SysmacCJ2Ethernet01)

What is the meaning of this error?

Product Line:
Vijeo Designer (all versions)

Resolution:
The error code is sent from Omron PLC, not HMI side.

For reference, the node address in their application is not correct.
The Node in the following picture is the node address of the Omron PLC,
please follow PLC's setting(for some Omron PLC, it is set by DIP SWITCH) and fill in the correct node address here.

PLC address and node

The Node under "Source Address" is the node address of the HMI. Please do NOT set the same address as PLC.
For example, if the PLC's node address is 1, you can not set the HMI's node address to 1.

HMI node

Please change the Node address in the driver.
If the settings(including UDP Port number and Network) are correct, Vijeo Designer can establish the communication with Omron PLC properly.
