Schneider Electric boosts investment in the Pacific cloud and digital infrastructure sector

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced two strategic leadership changes within its Pacific Zone division to harness the rapid growth in the Pacific cloud and digital infrastructure market.
As part of its broader expansion plan, Schneider Electric has appointed Joe Craparotta as Vice President, Cloud & Service Providers (C&SP), Pacific, and Farokh Ghadially as Vice President, Secure Power, Pacific. These leadership appointments are in place to advance Schneider Electric’s stronghold in the cloud, AI, and data centre sectors, aligning with the projected high growth in data centre capacity expected in the Pacific.
“With the Pacific region boasting the highest cloud capacity per capita globally, we are ready to lead the next wave of innovation in data centre design and AI development in Australia and New Zealand,” said Colette Munro, Pacific Zone President at Schneider Electric. “Joe and Farokh have the vision and experience to take on this growing demand while continuing to deliver sustainable, intelligent, and resilient solutions for our customers.”
In his new role, Joe Craparotta will spearhead Schneider Electric’s C&SP market segment, leveraging his 30 years of leadership experience in the technology industry – including 16 years at Schneider Electric. Joe will lead the Pacific C&SP strategy and key business relationships, working closely with Schneider’s specialist teams and its partners to drive sustained growth.

Farokh Ghadially, who has been with Schneider Electric for over 18 years, has been appointed Vice President, Secure Power, Pacific. In his new role, he will drive secure power portfolio growth across market segments, accelerating services, software, and AI-driven solutions to deliver impactful outcomes for customers’ business operations.

Vice President Cloud & Service Providers, Pacific ZoneJoe Craparotta is a 30-year veteran of the IT industry who has been fortunate enough to have experience in many of the technological convergence shifts seen in the industry to date. After starting out early in his career as a founding partner of Indicium Technology Group, his entrepreneurial and inquisitive style continued to draw him towards other technology firms. Joe has been a member of Schneider Electric’s Pacific executive team since 2013, taking on key leadership roles including vice president for the energy business prior to his previous role as vice president for secure power, and now as VP Cloud & Service Providers (C&SP).
