  • EVlink Pro DC launches for commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Buildings, fleet, and depot operators will have access to a new reliable charging station while accelerating sustainability goals

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announced the launch of the EVlink Pro DC 180 kW, a fast charging station to maximise energy efficiency and minimise electrical costs. With nearly 90%1 of electric vehicle (EV) charging expected to take place in commercial and industrial buildings, the fast-charging EVlink Pro DC enables vehicles to reach 80%2 charge in only 20 minutes, optimising building energy use and fast-tracking fleet vehicles getting back on the road.

Today, transportation represents 23%3 and buildings represent 26%3 of the world’s energy consumption. To reach net zero, we must accelerate the transition to electrification to enable the adoption of more clean energy, such as rooftop solar, to power our buildings and vehicles. By combining efficient EV charging solutions and electrical distribution infrastructure with intelligent energy management software—backed by a network of certified experts for consulting, field, and remote services—owners and operators can meet their sustainability goals, maintain power reliability, and provide a convenient experience for EV drivers.

Seamless integration to maximise energy control and distribution

EVlink Pro DC is seamlessly integrated with load management systems such as EcoStruxure EV Charging Expert to intelligently distribute energy from the building to the EV charging stations in real-time, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost savings. It’s interoperable with building management systems such as Power Monitoring Expert and EcoStruxure Building Operation, to simplify daily operations for building operators, by consolidating all information as a single pane of glass solution. The solution is also certified with dozens of charging station management systems (CSMS), giving building owners and charge point operators the freedom to integrate and curate a charging system that fits their unique needs, with the data visibility and back-end supervision necessary to efficiently manage their system.

Services to support the entire lifecycle

Schneider Electric offers the strength of a worldwide network of technicians who are committed to improving the performance of the EV infrastructure and keeping the assets running in optimum condition to protect businesses and their customers. End-to-end lifecycle services are provided directly by the manufacturer and its certified partners, with dedicated expertise delivered either remotely or through advanced on-site assistance, covering the span of commissioning, maintenance, and repair. Schneider Electric provides the right level of service and support catered to each customer, with consideration to the local language and infrastructure, prioritising uptime, operational efficiency and peace of mind.

“The launch of EVlink Pro DC 180 kW leverages our long history in electrical distribution and extensive expertise in the buildings sector to deliver an innovative approach to EV charging and infrastructure. Our commitment to interoperability and seamless integration means that building and fleet operators gain enhanced visibility, energy efficiency and control, while drivers gain access to a network of charging stations with ease—a well-needed enhancement to the overall EV ownership experience,” said Farokh Ghadially, Vice President Power Products & Digital Power at Schneider Electric. “Supported by a worldwide network of technicians with dedicated expertise, customers can rely on enhanced eMobility experience they can trust.”

EVlink Pro DC 180 kW ensures reliable and consistent charging capabilities, enabling commercial and industrial customers to provide a fast, safe, and efficient charging experience to end-users while advancing their path to resilience, decarbonisation, and energy independence. Key features include:

  • Scalable power from 120 to 180 kW and future-ready technology to simplify upgrades and modernisation with ISO15118 Plug & Charge and Smart Charging readiness, ensuring that infrastructure remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Reliability with third-party lab certification, featuring a housing with C4M corrosion protection, it operates in harsh environments and extreme temperatures up to 50°C without power derating.
  • Reinforced embedded protection and a charge interrupt button ensures secure operations
  • Sensors for shock and water ingress awareness, with real-time notifications in the event of any issues at the charge point.
  • Ease of use with AutoCharge vehicle recognition that automatically initiates a charging session upon plugging in the registered EV, enabling dynamic simultaneous charging of two vehicles for maximum power usage efficiency.

Schneider Electric’s reference architecture for end-to-end solutions guarantees that installations are fully compliant with global EV driver requirements, electrical distribution constraints, power management capabilities, operational considerations, and local regulations. Built-in cybersecurity features provide elevated levels of protection for strategic IT systems and assets aimed at mitigating the threats related to the usage of the charging stations.

As more buildings and consumers are generating, storing, and using their own energy, the launch of EVlink Pro 180 kW is the latest addition to Schneider Electric’s prosumer portfolio and will encompass the rollout of new and strategically placed fast charging stations to ensure convenient access and efficient charging for EV owners. With this new offer, Schneider Electric expands its breadth of innovations to create new market opportunities for commercial and industrial buildings and fleet operators with both depot and in-transit applications.
