The Schneider Electric Pacific Foundation is part of a network of SE Foundations around the world.
We work with charity partners in Australia and New Zealand who are supporting underserved youth to find a pathway into employment through education.
This could include:
- High school level programs that help create pathways into work and study for marginalised groups.
- Innovative vocational and tertiary training programs for underserved groups
- Supporting programs for young entrepreneurs
We also mobilise our employees to make a difference in their local community through volunteering, including mentoring, and workplace giving.
Current charity partners
Beacon Foundation
Beacon Foundation delivers career readiness programs across Australia to students in years 7-12, supporting them to have the aspiration, motivation, and ability to transition them to meaningful employment pathways. Schneider Electric staff will join in panel discussions and mock employment interviews with youth, in addition to funding an additional 25 High Impact Work Readiness sessions each year through the Beacon Foundation.
Pūhoro
Pūhoro works with rangatahi Māori (Māori youth) to improve access to and engagement in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Mātauranga Māori) education and employment. Pūhoro helps rangatahi see the connection between mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) and STEMM while improving their academic achievement. Through our partnership, Schneider Electric staff can help extend Pūhoro’s reach, and enable more exposure to real-world STEMM careers and future workforce opportunities.
Graeme Dingle Foundation
An established charity since 1995, the Graeme Dingle Foundation is a leader in positive child and youth development in Aotearoa New Zealand. Through its work with schools and communities, the Foundation supports tamariki and rangatahi at key stages of their lives, helping young people build confidence, develop positive values, and gain essential life, education, and wellbeing skills. This partnership provides Schneider Electric employees with meaningful opportunities to support community projects, take part in fundraising, and contribute their skills through mentoring and career guidance for young people.
Deadly Science
Deadly Science exists to create STEM equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners. We are building a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners can see themselves in STEM and thrive. Because you can’t be what you can’t see. By recognising and valuing First Nations knowledge, we are elevating it in the eyes of all Australians — decolonising STEM and creating systemic change. Deadly Science programs celebrate Australia's First Scientists whilst building pathways to modern STEM careers through authentic community partnerships and Elder knowledge integration.
The Smith Family
The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that believes every child should have the opportunity to change their future, no matter what their circumstances. Through a proven combination of financial, personal and practical support, they help young people to overcome educational inequality caused by poverty. Our partnership will support 210 students a year to participate in the Future Seekers program, which aims to connect their strengths and interests with career possibilities, building motivation and purpose to stay engaged in school, and expanding their future aspirations.
