What does "TC fault" and "TP phase fault" in a SEPAM Series 40 mean ?

Published date: 12 May 2020

Issue
Get a fault on the SEPAM 40 series TC fault or TP phase fault but don't know what it means.

Product Line
SEPAM 4x Series

Environment
Alarm screen

Cause
"TC faults" and "TP phase faults" relate to Current Transformer Supervision (CTS) and Voltage Transformer Supervision (VTS), which can be set using the advanced UMI or SFT2841 software.

Resolution
When enabled, the SEPAM relay will supervise the current and voltage APS_SENSORS and make sure that a phase isn't missing or a fuse isn't blown. The status of the CTS or VTS can be viewed via Modbus using TS indicators.

TC fault = CTS fault
TP Phase fault = VTS fault relating to phase difference between current and voltage
TP Vo fault = VTS fault relating to 3 phase voltage sum (Vr)
