Concept File Extensions

Published date: 25 June 2020

Concept file extensions
The project is stored in two independent databases, the configuration database and the project database (application logic).

.PRJ /Project main file.

.DSK /Desktop file
The .dsk file contains the graphical information about the session (e.g. information
about opened sections and the position of the windows). This file is created when
the project is saved.

.C0 - .C5 /Configuration files.
As the configuration database (.c# files) are independent of the rest
of the project, you can move them to another project by copying and renaming
them according to the new project name.

.P1 - .P4 /project files. (Application logic)

.Q1, .Q2 /Hash tables (pointer files, regenerated when a project is opened).
The .q1 and .q2 files contain the B -Tree (binary tree). Concept rebuilds
these two files automatically if they do not exist. If the information in the .q# files
do not match the project database, you will get unpredictable error messages within
Concept when analyzing sections, deleting variables.

.RDE /RDE template
The *.rde file includes the information for the variables and registers and also
its own graphical information

.CCO /data file for interaction with the OFS (since V2.1) (optional)
.JJJ /semaphore file for interaction with the OFS (since V2.2) (optional)
.HTR /two internal used temporary file (since V2.2) (optional)
.DTY / custom Datatype file.
.DFB / custom Defined Function Block
.BAK / folder that contains projects last successful download to a PLC.
