Does the HMIGTO series lose Date and Time information after the power goes out?

Issue:
How do we ensure that the HMIGTO will retain its date and time after a power cycle?

Product Line:
HMIGTO

Resolution:
The HMIGTO does not lose Date and Time information after the power goes out. Unlike the HMISTU family, the HMIGTO has a battery and a SRAM chip to retain the date and time settings. However, keep in mind that if the power is shut off long enough for the battery to drain, then of course the date and time will be lost. Keep the battery charged by powering on the HMIGTO for at least 4 hours.
