What do you get to do in this position?
Selection and implementation of automated guided vehicles (AGV) within our manufacturing facilities, with special focus on advanced guidance systems such as Laser / LiDAR and Vision guidance
Implementation of standard hardware / software solutions for the IoT connectivity of machines and processes, utilizing such IoT technologies as MQTT, Node Red, OPC, JSON, etc.
Implementation of standard Smart Factory solutions that standardize the operation and reporting of our factory processes, such as Lean Digitization System(LDS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES) – Quality, Aveva Insight, and Augmented Operator (Mobility).
Automation of manual processes with the design or specification, and implementation of PLCs, PCs, sensors, visualization, robotics, and mechanization.
Work closely with vendors to manage implementations for the facilities within the North American region.
Deliver change management leadership to drive adoption of new hardware/software tools within mature facilities.
Travel within the North American region at 25% to 50% levels.

This job might be for you if you have:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or comparable degree / experience combination
3 to 5 years experience with industrial electrical control systems.
Specific experience with PLC systems and software. Modicon / Telemechanic experience is a bonus.
Knowledge of PC network architecture and design.
4IR (AGV, Mobility, Cloud, Analytics) knowledge with specific application experience a bonus.
Hands-on industrial mechanization experience (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
PC database experience such as data creation/extraction from SQL.
Excellent English writing / speaking skills.
Strong self-motivation to learn with minimal direction or formal training.
Change management ability.
