Chris Leong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience across continents and many disciplines including organization transformation, business strategy, digitization, sales and marketing.
Chris became part of Schneider Electric in January 2012 and in March 2015, Chris was appointed as Chief Marketing Officer, part of Schneider’s Electric Executive Committee Leadership Team. She is in charge of transforming marketing into a competitive advantage for the company – building a strong brand and leveraging digital to increase awareness and drive growth. Prior to her appointment as CMO, Chris served as Executive Vice President in Digital Customer Experience, leading a key company transformation in digitization to deliver a more effective and consistent digitally engaging experience for customers and partners.
Previously, Chris led Nokia Greater China, Korea & Japan region with a revenue of US$8B in P&L oversight. During her six and a half years tenure at Nokia, Chris held various global roles including the Senior Vice President of Marketing, where she was responsible for Nokia's Go-To-Market and marketing optimization across 80 local vendors. Prior to joining Nokia, Chris held various senior management roles in marketing communications firms, including WPP agencies Bates Asia (Hong Kong), Ogilvy Europe (London) and Grey Global Group (Singapore) working with global brand leaders such as P&G, Ford, HSBC, Heineken and various telecommunication brands. During her years as President of South East Asia of Grey Global Group, she led one of WPP’s most profitable agency businesses.
Beyond work, Chris is extremely passionate about giving back, regularly working with charity groups including volunteering and support to Hong Kong Mother’s Choice, a group providing care for teenage unplanned pregnancies to babies waiting for adoption.
Chris speaks four languages; English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. Currently, she is based and works in Hong Kong.
