What is the difference between IP 65 and IP 40 on selections of ZB4BL9334 dual pushbuttons?

Resolution:
IP 40 is protected against solid objects, but is not watertight, similar to NEMA 1, IP 65 is protected against dust and water jets, similar to NEMA 4.

(1st number )
Protection against contact and penetration of solid bodies
(2nd number )
Protection against the penetration of liquids.

4= protection against solid 0= not protected
6= Dust tight 5= protection against water jets
