What is EMBOND and what is it used for?

Product Line:
Energy meter Series (EME and EMB series)

Environment:
Energy meter is being installed indoor or outdoor.

Cause:
Energy meter is being installed and bonded with multiple conduits.

Resolution:
EMBOND is energy meter bonding kit.

Reason to use it:
If the connections to the energy meter will be made through more than one metallic conduit, bond the conduits with a bonding plate (P/N: EMBOND) to prevent the hazard of electric shock (as shown below).



NOTE: If using a hub on rigid conduit, assemble the hub to the conduit before attaching to the meter.
