Panelboards / Switchboards and Switchgear

Switchboards are the control towers of your power distribution system. They carry out all the smart functions that eventually deliver power availability, safety, and energy efficiency:
  • Protection from all electrical risks and hazards (cable overloads, short circuits, electric shocks, voltage surges, etc.).
  • On-off control of power distribution lines and some loads (e.g. source management, load shedding).
  • Power factor correction, harmonics filtering, and other power quality enhancements.
  • Accurate monitoring and supervision.
Electrical switchboards result from the assembly of enclosures with switching, controlling, and monitoring devices: circuit-breakers, switches, contactors, meters, etc. The enclosures come in a large variety of sizes and performance levels, suitable for each application sector:
  • Residential settings to distribute power throughout the house to lights, sockets, and all domestic appliances.
  • Commercial environment to distribute power across building areas such as offices, warehouses, and retail spaces.
  • Industrial areas to distribute power to various machines, equipment, and devices that deliver the manufacturing process.
