Unveiling PanelSeT, a unified identity for Schneider Electric’s universal enclosures: the Spacial metal enclosures and the Thalassa insulating enclosures are gradually merging into PanelSeT, a new range name supporting our commitment to sustainability, reliability, flexibility, and efficiency. More details in the dedicated webpage.
What are electrical enclosures? These are cabinets or boxes designed to house and protect all types of electrical equipment, in industrial and other highly stringent environments. They store such electrical panels as:
- Industrial control panels, hosting equipment managing automated processes.
- Power switchboards, despatching power to the various parts of a building, ensuring protections from electrical risks, and highly contributing to control over energy consumption
- IT network and server cabinets, in data centers.
The range includes 3 main options:
- Steel enclosures, suitable for most industrial environments, sheltering electrical equipment from dust, oil splashes, mechanical impacts, etc.
- Stainless steel enclosures, required in industries with specific hygiene requirements or corrosion risks: food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, marine, etc.
- Insulating material enclosures, required for outdoor operation, or exposition to direct sunlight, rain, saline mist, extreme temperatures, oil splashes, and chemical and corrosive agents.
Specific variants fulfill the requirements of:
- Severe outdoor environments (telcon relays, water treatment, transportation)
- Explosive atmospheres
- Electromagnetic compatibility constraints
- Seismic risks and nuclear power plants
Electrical enclosures also include very helpful accessories to fit and connect electrical devices inside the panels:
- ClimaSys, which is a full range of thermal protection devices, to put temperature and humidity inside the panels under total control
- customization services to have enclosures prepared to your own specification and delivered ready to receive electrical equipment
- software tools to select enclosures and compatible accessories, and to configure the thermal protection equipment, or to specify customized enclosures.
