Indirect Procurement Buyer

(Why the position exists)

►    Supporting the country Purchasing team in managing =S= purchase spend, which is focused on leading-edge technology, services and commercially critical operational expenditure

►    Supports the approach to ‘buy smart’ and consider procurement in its widest sense covering all levels of cost both within and for the business, which adds strategic and real value to the business

►    Ensure =S= Group’s Purchase Policy and Guidelines are followed in the procurement process in Schneider India.

(What is the expected contributions of the position to the results of the organization)

►    To procure products, services for all the businesses of Schneider India.; and to achieve economies of scale while purchasing for unified volumes of business.   

►    To enhance partner relations by resolving any issues relating commercial, payment etc.

• Selection of suppliers/ partners to fulfill the business requirements based on TCO model

• Achievement of optimal price level/ SLA’s with the selected suppliers, keeping tab on the market prices and intelligence thereof

• Maintaining win- win relation with the suppliers/ partners and resolving the supplier issues as and when it arises

• Floating RFQs/ RFPs and RFIs as per business needs taking into account the feedback from stakeholders in events, Hotel negotiation

• Preparing supplier bids comparison & evaluation, conducting negotiations, LOI/ Contract formation, SLA’s and other contract exhibits

• Monitoring supplier’s performance and developing improvement action plan along with Suppliers and internal Systems and Processes team

• Improve Customer Satisfaction by delivering faster turn around time for implementing new / additional request, reducing the overall cost, improving team’s performance and driving changes concurrent with market conditions and trends

• Purchase order management, supplier management, experience of working in an integrated SAP environment

Education:

Graduate or Equivalent with strong negotiation skills (Minimum 6-7 year experience)

Job Related Experience:

Techno-commercial experience in any Industry with good knowledge of Indirect Purchase process

Good knowledge of Buying

Strong in working in a cross-culture environment

Business Understanding:

Strong communication skills, Work administration, Mentoring and Negotiation skills

Others (e.g. language skills, technical skills):

Good knowledge of Purchase /Procurement  & Purchasing tools, SAP purchase module
