ION EEM Installation Error in Windows x64

Goals and Symptoms

The EEM installer does not run in Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 or Windows 7 x64, the setup log contains the following message:
Beginning setup log 2-6-2010 14:19:08
ION EEM 3.95.1028 build

Setup Aborted: Windows Server 2008 or greater is inadequate for this
installation.

Causes and Fixes

In order to instruct the installer to not check for the OS version and other prerequisites open a Command Line, navigate to the folder where the installation files live and type the following command:

setup.exe /z"skipprereqs"

This will allow you to continue the installation process. It's important to note that ION EEM is not officially supported neither in Windows 2008 R2 x64.or Windows 7 x64.
