    Many utilities have deployed specific feeder automation technologies to improve or mitigate risks on their distribution network. With the advent of smart meters and the capability to monitor and report on changes in voltage thresholds, outage and restoration events, and other line conditions, utilities face the challenge of transforming all of the field sensor data into actionable responses. Without an overarching system to manage the discrete elements, it may be difficult or impossible to perform actions that are optimal.
