Key Players in the Industry Sector Join Forces to Showcase Their Latest Integrated Solutions during “Engineering Day 2016”

Cairo-Egypt: 31 October, 2016 - Key players in the industry sector showcased their latest integrated solutions during “Engineering Day 2016”. The event was organized on 31 October at the Nile Ritz Carlton in Cairo with the participation of five private companies: Schneider Electric, Grundfos Egypt, Bavaria, AEON and VIKING. The objective of “Engineering Day 2016” is to enhance the concept of smart integration between engineering and technological solutions to serve the industrial sector.

The “Engineering Day 2016” event was attended by Eng. Mamdouh Raslan, President of the Holding Co. for Water and Wastewater (HCWW); General Said El Ashrey, President National Authority for Water and Waste Water, Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of Alexandria Water Company; a high-profile representatives from Schneider Electric headed by Eng. Albert Fuchet, Country President, Schneider Electric Egypt and North East Africa; Mr. Ehab Eshaq, Grundfos General Manager, Egypt, Libya, Sudan & South Sudan; Mr. Amir Ryad, General Manager of Bavaria Egypt; official agent of VIKING Egypt; Mr. Marc Lawnzac, General Manager of AEON Egypt.

The participation of the five companies aligns with their commitment to support the industrial sector and urban development. Over the course of the day, the five companies showcased their latest portfolio of products and integrated solutions in the fields of buildings, water facilities, smart cities, heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions, fire fighting systems, water pumping and wastewater solutions as well as building management systems in order to further enable the application of energy management solutions and boost energy efficiency.

The industrial sector is considered one of the most vital sectors of the Egyptian economy, contributing around 35% to GDP. The volume of industrial exports represents approximately 60% of total Egyptian exports. The industrial sector employs around 30% of the total workforce in Egypt, equivalent to 2.5 million workers. It is one of the most diversified sectors in the region in terms of activities including food, pharmaceuticals, energy and heavy industries among others.

“Engineering Day 2016” was held under the slogan “Smart Integrations” to promote cooperation in the field of water solutions and smart buildings to achieve sustainability, energy efficiency and contribute to the development of the national economy. The event provided an integrated platform for companies to showcase their advanced solutions and support important sectors such as: water infrastructure, energy all feeder industries for the industrial sector.
