The Lexium 32i series is an important component of a control system's safety system because it includes a Safe Torque Off (STO) feature that avoids accidental servo motor activation. This function complies with IEC/EN 61508 level SIL3 for electrical installations and IEC/EN 61800-1 for power drives. It simplifies the installation of advanced safety devices while improving maintenance performance by lowering service time. This feature requires a bus connection module with the STO option.
