Factory User must have read access enabled error when applying Advanced Security to an ION8650 in ION Setup
Issue
Can't apply Advanced Security to an ION8650 meter in ION Setup.

Environment
ION8650 with V420 firmware
Cause
The new V420 firmware added a factory comms config setting in the Security Options Module. This is by default set to YES. If the old template that is loaded to the meter has the other Factory user settings set to NO it causes a problem in the new firmware.
Resolution
The issue is resolved with the latest version of ION Setup which can be downloaded from the link below:
