Issue:
What does it mean when my ATS48 soft starter shows 888 on the screen.

ATS48 series soft starters.

Environment:
All models, All serial numbers.

Cause:
Information unavailable in current literature.

Resolution:
888 on the screen, which is usually flashing, indicates a problem with the main control card CPU.  Remove power completely and then remove the front cover or Control Basket, check internal connections and reseat terminals on the front, ensuring their connection is tight.  If this doesn't resolve the 888 then it is an internal component failure of the soft starter and it is recommended to replace the  Control Basket.
