Location - Telford

Are you our next Team Leader? Based out of our Telford site, Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as a Team Leader with responsibility for our Telford Distribution Centre.

Your Mission:
Core process

  • Manage Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) in the warehouse and Adaptations Centre, including managing reported incidents and near misses
  • Put in place the necessary resources in quantity (load / capacity) and skills to ensure the realization of the warehousing program in order to get the commitments
  • Apply the defined processes and procedures to ensure the required quality level
  • Ensure effective means of production by the implementation of maintenance level 1& 2

Continuous improvement

  • Manage the process of SIM cycle 1-2 referring SPS principles
  • Optimize shop floor performance  & efficiency of his department trough SIM (cycle 3 & 4)
  • Lead level 1-2 of the suggestions system
  • Lead & prolongs 5S actions

Job / Skills

  • Responsible for employee training and competence levels required to ensure customer demand  
  • Information system / database
  • Input the performance data in the Information system (dashboards cycle 1 & 2)
  • Apply the rules defined for the use of information system (SAP, Kanban ... ..)

Your Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safety, ergonomic, and 5S behavior within the sector. Responsible for training and certification of operators LWB1 and LWB2 and contributing to the updates of the versatility and training matrix. Required to complete LWB1 and LWB2 activities as needed. Leads the sector SIM1 meeting. Does basic problem solving or simple maintenance as required.
May be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand or priorities.
May be responsible for (contributing to the) creation/updating Operational Work Standard (OWS) and Job Breakdown Sheet (JBS).
Responsible for employee performance, development, engagement, discipline, etc.
Responsible for the performance of "standard work" within his or her sector or department. May occasionally fill in for or assist LWB1 or LWB2 operators as needed.
May be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand or priorities.
