How do you set up the ATV71 drive to get tighter speed feed back using an optional encoder card?

Product Line:
Alivar ATV71 with optional encoder card.

Environment:
All

Cause:
Needs to get tighter speed regulation using the optional encoder card on the ATV71 drive.

Resolution:
Menu 1.1
Simply start menu set up all of your motor parameters settings.

Menu 1.4
-Wire up your encoder to the optional encoder card on the ATV71 drive.
-Leave the drive in SVCV mode and run the encoder check.
-Once the encoder check passes
-leave the drive in SVCV motor control mode if  you ARE NOT doing max torque at zero hz.  Change motor control type to FVCV if you are doing max torque at zero hz.
-Encoder usage set to speed feedback regulation or code (rEG)
