Video: EGX300 - Network Time synchronization unsuccessful using NTP server

The EGX300 network time synchronization fails when attempting to use an NTP server.

Improper configuration of the EGX300 gateway results in unsuccessful time synchronization attempts. If the NTP server is not located on the same subnet as the EGX300 gateway, the 'Default Gateway' must be defined in the Ethernet & TCP/IP setup. 

1. The default gateway may be configured from the Setup -> Ethernet & TCP/IP.

2. Configure the NTP settings via the Setup -> Date & Time. Ensure that "Enable Network Time Synchronization" is checked and that an primary NTP server IP address is defined correctly.

If using an internal NTP server on the network, verify the server list by following the steps below:
Note: The following assumes that the NTP server, that is returned, is accessible by the EGX.
  1. Click on the Windows button
  2. In the "Search programs and files" box, type cmd and press Enter.
  3. If necessary, select cmd from the list of search results.
  4. In the command prompt window, enter w32tm /query /peers
  5. Check that an entry is shown for each of the servers listed above.
