Breakable head screws are the most reliable way of achieving the recommended tightening torque for electrical connections.

KH trunking systems:

Whenever you install or remove a bolt-on tap-off unit (KH0XXSB) on a trunking joint, we recommend using a new breakable head screw for the connection. The part number is KH000YB1 (pack of 25).

KT trunking system:

Whenever you install or remove a bolt-on tap-off unit (old part number: KTOXXCB - new part number: KTBXXXCB) on a trunking joint, we recommend using a new breakable head screw for the connection.

You should use:

• Part number KT000YB1 (old part number, sold in packs of 10, 1 unit consists of 2 flat washers + 1 flexible washer + 1 breakable head screw)
• or part number KTB0000YB1 (new part number, sold as a single unit, comprising 2 flat washers + 1 flexible washer + 1 breakable head screw)

KV trunking system:

Whenever you install or remove a bolt-on tap-off unit on a trunking joint, you must use a complete new jointing unit (including breakable head screw) for the connection. There are no spare parts.  The bolt-on tap-off units can only be installed on trunking joints.  Jointing units for straight feeder lengths are not the same as those for bolt-on tap-off units.
