As stated above, when backlight timeout is 0, backlight is always ON and for values other than 0, it will turn off after a period of inactivity.

If you are changing the Display settings like Contrast, Screen Timeout, and Backlight Timeout settings through ION Setup, it is recommended that these values are modified through the meter, rather than through ION Setup.
