Biography
Sugata Sircar is an seasoned professional with extensive experience in the areas of business performance management, strategy and investment.
Sugata joined Schneider Electric in January 2014 as the CFO and Country Finance Partner and currently sits on the Board of several Schneider India companies. In his present role, he partners the President and MD for all the businesses of Schneider Electric in India and the neighboring countries extending decision support related to investments, business models and organizational transformation. Sugata has also worked extensively in efficiency improvement and risk management.
Sugata is a Chartered Accountant with 28 years of experience in various industries including Electrical Energy, Gas Distribution, Manufacturing of Chemicals, Textiles, Tyres and FMCG.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, he was associated with Gujarat Gas Limited as the Managing Director. Sugata has been actively involved in several CFO and CEO forums. Additionally, he has also chaired the economic forums of the CII. He has been awarded several times as a CFO especially in the League of Excellence.
Sugata is an alumnus of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and also has a certificate in Art History from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
