Title
How can I run the Power Quality Event Aggregator in archive mode so I can run a Power Quality report on pre-existing data?
Issue
Meter Power Quality Events do not show up in Power Quality Report.
Product Line
ION Enterprise 6.0
Environment
Windows XP (32-bit), Windows Vista (32-bit), Windows Server 2003 (32-bit), Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-Bit), Windows Server 2008 (32-bit), Windows 7 (64-bit), Windows Server 2008 (64-bit), Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)
Cause
The PQ Aggregator aggregates power quality data from the waveform log, event log and certain quantities from the datalog/datalogstamp tables and inserts it into the PQ_ group of tables in ION_Data. The ION Power Quality Aggregation service performs this task going forward, but if a user wishes to run a Power Quality report against pre-existing data, or data contained in archived databases, the PQ Aggregator must be run in archive mode.
Resolution
1. Start a command prompt in the ION Enterprise\system\bin directory
2. Run EventCollector.Cli.exe /a
Running this command will aggregate all data in ION_Data and any archive that is called ION_Data_Archive. If an archived database is not called something that starts with ION_Data_Archive, PQ data in this database will not be archived. It is necessary to detach the archive, and then reattach it as ION_Data_Archive, where means any subsequent characters.
Important: Note that this utility must be run from the ION Enterprise\system\bin directory for it to run correctly. Also be aware that on a large database that contains a lot of Power Quality data, this utility could run for some time. It will not interfere with ION Enterprise while it is running.
This information is included in ION Enterprise On-Line Help in a section called 'Running the ION Power Quality Aggregation Service Manually'
