Do I have to use 2 off LUB12 or LUB32 or LUB38 to obtain reversal of operating direction of a TeSys U motor starter, as in the D series?

The answer is no. There are multiple ways of creating a reversing starter, depending on the base module you choose. Some are built into the starter and others are add-on, but in all cases you only need one Testys U base module.

There are 3 possible ratings for the base; 12A, 32A and 38A, and two confiurations; Standard and Advanced,  depending on whether you want to use communications / advanced protection modules, or not. Options can be found from page A4/10 of Tesys Catalogue chapter A4.
