How to deactivate the I/O input assignment for ILS Lexium Integrated Drives in EcoStruxure Machine Expert?

Issue
The ILS Lexium Integrated Drive cannot run because the end of travel switches LIMP and LIMN are not wired and the system does not require them.

Product Line
ILS Lexium Integrated Drives

Environment
EcoStruxure Machine Expert v1.1

Cause
The default setting for IO0 is 1, input LIMP and for IO1 is 2. input LIMN. If there are no normally closed limit switches connected to the ILS Lexium Integrated Drives, the ILS will not start.

Resolution
This problem can be solved by modifying the default assignment of IO0 and IO1. IO2 (default input Stop) and IO3 (default input REF) can also be deactivated if not needed. The step by step procedure is described below:
1. In the Devices window double-click on Lexium_ILS.
2. Go to the SDOs tab.
3. Right-click in that screen and select +Add SDO.
3. Go to IO definitions, click on the plus sign, highlight I/O.IO0_def, make sure that Value is 16#0 corresponding to Input freely usable and hit OK.
4. Repeat the above step for I/O.IO1_def, I/O.IO2_def and I/O.IO3_def.
5. Download the compiled program to the PLC.

This completes the procedure that will deactivate the I/O input assignment for ILS Lexium Integrated Drives in EcoStruxure Machine Expert.
