Field Service Engineer (Power Systems)

What you will do:
1. Customer Service (60%)
- Represent Schneider in dealing with customer concerns
- Travel to customer site as service contract or as circumstances dictate
- Diagnose and repair, to component level, power products returned from the assigned region
- Perform site evaluations, scheduled and unscheduled site visits
- Support customers in the installation, modification and repair of Schneider products
- Solve Power System (LV and MV) problems at customer site
- Interact with customers by phone/face to face depending on the level and type of support required
- Oversee the installation of Schneider product, repair and analyze a failed product or provide customer-site maintenance (Servicing supervision, Trouble shooting of control circuit of MV/LV)
- Interact with end-users to explain the failure mode in detail
- Draft engineering failure analysis reports for customers with guidance from Engineering
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, practices and procedures at all times
2. Management of Third Party (10%)
- Train third party service vendors on new products and act as a primary instructor for all company products
- Qualify third party service centers and support of vendor
3. Training (10%)
- Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance of APC-MGE products
4. Reporting (20%)
- Create country failure reports based on site interventions
- Identify and report failure modes encountered when in the field and determine the cause of these failures
- Isolate and rectify equipment installation problems and provide reports on these issues
- Collate field failure results and symptoms for analysis and provide to Operation Services Manager
Qualifications
Experience and skills we are looking for:
- Bachelor/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 to 4 years industry experience including a minimum of 12 months power experience with hands-on working on 415 ac 3 phase and MV panel up to 22kV
- Possess Class 3 license will be a plus (not mandatory)
- Good working knowledge of Singapore Wiring Standards CP5 (for Singapore)
- Intimate knowledge and experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical Circuit on a component level
- Ability to analyse root cause of problems
- Ability to read, analyze, and interprets technical procedures
- Proficient in MS Office
