    Diversity and Inclusion


Schneider Electric has developed initiatives from global and local teams to promote a diverse and inclusive culture, gender equality, women's networks, leadership programs and forums. Thirty diversity and inclusion ambassadors are part of the network in our major countries, deploying the company's policy across the globe. This includes: Diversity days, maternity leave policy, network activities, women leaders events, gender workshop for leaders, women in leadership programs and more.

    Girls on the Move at Schneider Electric 130 pupils invited to discover Schneider, gender stereotypes and technical jobs

    On March 7th, the pupils coming from high schools and engineers schools were welcomed at the Hive, the headquarter of Schneider. During 2 hours, they learnt to know the company, they realized the stereotypes linked to gender on the industry market and they discussed with senior female engineers about technical jobs in sales, purchasing, R&D, … They also signed their engagement with HeForShe and participated to a quiz with a lottery to win Life@home presents.

    Innovatech: innovation by women female engineers of Schneider and engineers students innovate together

    On March 2nd, 2 female engineers of Schneider participated to the Innovatech challenge organized by the association “EllesBougent” with the Conseil regional d’Ile de France in Paris. They had to coach 2 pupils and 2 students in order to produce an innovation linked with the sustainable city. They managed to set up the specification of a software to improve the choice of your personal activities linked with the availability of transportation. A great experience that the 6 women would like to renew.
  • Proud to have one of our employees as an Olympic Torch bearer Henry Gurgel from Schneider Electric Brazil - a member of the Brazil Paralympic weight-lifting team - led the Olympic Torch through Ceara state.

    His involvement shows the importance of applying the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in our daily lives. Henry is an inspiration to Schneider Electric in building a diverse company, where people are engaged in building an inclusive and highly performance team that values all of its members in an equal manner.
  • Women Fun Run in Barcelona

    On November 6, the Schneider Electric team raced together with 30,000 women in Barcelona. The Women Fun Run is one of the city's biggest running events to help beat breast cancer and was at its third edition this year.

  • International Disability Day

    December 3rd was the International Disability Day (United Nations)! At South America We promote a culture of respect, learning and motivation for all employees and society! We had the chance to run a "Get on My chair" (analogy from get on my shoes) so employees could understand the daily difficulties and how strong minded are our disable employees! Lots of learning, inspiration and motivation to never give up!

  • Gender workshop for leaders

    Half-day Gender Workshops for Leaders at the management committee level were launched by the Schneider Electric CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire.
    The workshops act as a business case for change and include the assessment of current state of gender balance in our company, analysis of gender balance blocking factors and solid
    commitment to a concrete action plan.
    Over the last two years, these workshops have been cascaded through the Country and Business Board committees across the globe – almost 20 leadership teams with 300 leaders have attended these workshops. The cascading approach is still ongoing at mid-management level.
    Over the past 3 months, workshops have taken place in Netherlands, Denmark, Poland and Brazil
