Schneider Electric pushes for digitization for the Philippines’ continued innovation
- Schneider Electric champions technology to promote digitization through its EcoStruxure solutions
For the past 10 years, the growth of technology has allowed for industries to push forward and diversify in service offerings. The Internet of Things (IoT) has allowed for businesses and technology to become closer to consumers more than ever. At this rate of digital transformation, it is estimated that by 2020, there will be 4 billion connected people using 30 billion connected devices, consuming 50 trillion gigabytes of data, amplifying the demand for energy across the globe. With Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure solutions, industries and businesses have an opportunity to not only manage their energy consumption, but transform their processes through digitization and automation.
The Philippines is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia and every company from MSMEs to large conglomerates rely on technological advancements to grow their product suites and services. By utilizing Schneider Electric’s innovations, the public sector also has an opportunity to modernize its processes, especially with the administration’s push for its Build, Build, Build program. With the development of government agencies already well underway, digitization presents a whole new level of growth and innovation prospects not only for various government agencies, but also for the stakeholders who conduct business with them.
EcoStruxure Building and Data Center solutions automate and digitize processes for infrastructure development and data management, giving public institutions better control of their energy consumption while also optimizing their internal processes by lessening physical clutter and ramping up data security for confidential files by storing them in the cloud.
Nico Echavarria, Data Center Solutions Architect, Schneider Electric Philippines said: “Schneider Electric strongly believes in the power of technology as a means to transform cities and reshape industries. EcoStruxure is a result of our investment in research and development, championing IoT integration as means to create growth opportunities. Taking it a step further, by maximizing the use of technology, we are also elevating the way we consume our resources, allocating them to greener and more sustainable ones.”
Actively maintaining its visibility both in the private and public sectors, Schneider Electric spoke at the Philippine OpenGov Leadership Forum 2018 last April. Insights were shared on how the Philippines can continue to develop, with a particular focus on IT.
“Being able to converse with different government agencies present at the Forum, it is comforting to know that there is genuine interest when it comes to digitization and automation. We were able to showcase Schneider Electric’s offerings like EcoStruxure, and the warm reception from the participants is an indication that more and more people are becoming open to embracing technology, granting them a role in our mission of providing Innovation at Every Level,” added Echavarria.
