Is it possible to send E-mails from Web Gate?

Issue:
Web Gate is unable to trigger an email to be sent when my action is executed

Resolution:
In Vijeo-Designer, it is possible to send e-mails from HMI Runtime only. The e-mail feature for Vijeo Designer Runtime however does not function on a Web Gate Client. When the e-mail feature is configured for Vijeo Designer Runtime, the user must realize that this feature is not supported for Web Gate. Any switches or actions configured to send an email on the HMI side will not do anything in Web Gate.

The workaround is to create a global action that is triggered by a bit that is shared with Web Gate. When the user presses the switch to trigger the bit, the corresponding action on the HMI will send the email as expected.
