How many I/O modules (cards) can be installed on the PM8000 series?

Issue
Someone would like to know the capacity for attachable I/O cards on a PM8000 series meter.

Cause
The number of attachable I/O cards is a specification which could help determine if a PM8000 series meter is appropriate for an application.

Resolution

Failure to follow the instructions/warnings in the Meter Installation Guide can result in permanent damage to the meter, severe injury or death.

Up to 4 I/O modules can be installed on the PM8000 series meters.
The base unit has 3 D/I (not wetted) and 1 KY.

Part numbers & description of the I/O modules:
METSEPM89M2600 - 2 relay outputs, 6 digital inputs (wetted)
METSEPM89M0024 - 2 analog outputs, 4 analog inputs

Max I/O port limits:
Pulse output  1
Digital or analog inputs  27 digital, 16 analog
Digital or analog outputs 1 digital, 8 relays, 8 analog
