Preventa XY2C - Why a minimum cable length is specified In the XY2CED double sided rope pull switch?

This is tied to the requirements in case of cable breakage. Unlike a XY2CE rope pull switch, there is no internal spring inside the XY2CED double sided switch. The tripping by cable breakage is ensured par the end-spring located at the opposite side from the one where the cable has been broken AND the intrinsic elasticity of the remaining cable. A too short cable length would lead to have not enough elasticity to trip the contacts in case of cable breakage.
