Area Drives Manager
This is a field-based position accountable for all aspects of the promotion and sales support for the Schneider Electric AC Drives Solutions Business within an assigned coverage area.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Meeting annual quota levels and completing business objectives
- Developing, implementing, and supporting a consultative solution selling approach through the primary Sales resources within an assigned geography
- Works closely with design & consulting engineers, system designers and technicians, and other key influencers to develop comprehensive solutions for addressing customer needs.
- Establish targets specific to Market segments aligned with the Schneider Electric US strategy
- Develop and support selected Industrial Automation focused Channel Partners and SE Sales Teams
- Coordinate Drives application and product solution support to customers, Sales, and key industry professionals
- Delivers product and/or solutions demonstrations to customers, channel partners, and internal sales resources
- Remains abreast of the latest industry developments and the SE Drive Offer Unique Value Propositions(UVPs)
- Utilize Digital tools in accessing and reporting on business development activities
- Provide commercial pre-sales support and coordination of the Drive Solutions for the following:
- Advanced application support
- Advanced product training and customer awareness sessions
- Large OEM & Project proposal development and key review activities
- Business development activities with Sales resources, including setting target goals and objectives, developing sales/business plans, establishing call plans and strategies
Qualifications/Requirements
· Minimum 5 years experience in technical sales in the industrial automation space with a keen understanding of the external field-based Sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
· Experience with applying fundamental Motor Control concepts, VFD, and Soft Starter applications is required.
· Education: Minimum B.S. in a technical field (electrical, mechanical) or equivalent.
· Must be an independent self-starter, highly effective communicator, and team player who is passionate about her/his career and truly committed to fostering a team approach in achieving successful results.
· Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Must have clear articulation with a customer-distributor-sales communication focus
· Must have professional-level presentation skills: Ability to effectively address small and large groups of professionals to convey highly technical application concepts and product UVPs among the electro-mechanical disciplines.
· Computer Skills: MS Office365, Salesforce.com, Tableau, MS Teams, and other Multi-media utilization skills are required
· Language: Fluent in English. Good command of vocabulary.
Qualifications
