The Role: Head of Channel Sales

We are looking for an experienced Head of Channel Sales to manage the distribution and partner managers, provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility in the channel ecosystems.

This individual will work closely with Singapore/Malaysia/Brunei (SMB) Channels, Operations, Partner Program, Marketing and IT to develop and deploy technology and strategy sales and solutions in a matrix organization. The role is a key asset in the SMB Channel transformation journey.

What will you do?  

  • Establish sales revenue by forecasting and developing quarterly/annually sales; projecting expected sales and profit for the Line of Business (Products)
  • Ability to create demand, develop business ideas, performing key decision to grow the business with profitability
  • Platform the business vs the market, establish optimal market coverage and strategy to ensure the right coverage of the end customers with our offers
  • Set up directions, guidelines and best practices on Managed Partner’s profile evolution, processes and tools
  • Demonstrate business and sales leadership by building mutually beneficial relationships with the partners to grow market share
  • Effectively communicate the company’s value proposition, process and current partnership
  • Understand the channel community landscape
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Build the eco system of Managed Partners through alignment with Edge Alliances team on major technology vendors
  • Ensure strong sales plan are in place for the key strategic initiatives within the country
  • Work with the sales enablement team and partner program lead (regional team) to create training campaign targeting sales and technical team of Managed Partners
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Ability to identify and solve client/partner issues strategically
  • Work with the Sales, Account Management and Operations, teams to implement targeted sales strategy
  • Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service
  • Ensure reports and other internal intelligence and insight is provided to the management
  • Analyze pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales providing key business insights

Qualifications

Who would be successful?  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales & marketing person's perspective
  • Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication.
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems
  • Demonstrate excellent customer/partners service standards
  • Demonstrate good self-control whilst working under pressure
  • Demonstrate self and team leadership, organization and motivational skills.
  • Drive for results – Strong will to compete and win and achieve in business environment.
  • Communication – Clearly present written, oral and visual information and influence others while building rapport and credibility.
  • Proven Sales experience.
  • Ability to work in a matrix/cross BU virtual team environment
  • Strong team player and inter personnel skills
  • Passionate and ambitious, extra miles attitude
