Schneider Electric named one of Asia’s Best Workplaces 2023 by Great Place to Work

Singapore, August 30, 2023 Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation has been selected by Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture, for the 2023 Best Workplaces in Asia™ List, debuting at 12 amongst multinational companies.

This recognition is based on confidential survey data assessing employee experiences of trust, innovation, company values, and leadership. Schneider Electric was selected as one of 200 organizations that were chosen after surveying 2.1 million employees in Asia and the Middle East about their experience in the workplace.

“Our workplace is built on empowerment, trust, and a diversity of meaningful experiences. We strive to create an inclusive workplace by putting our employees first so they can put our customers first. It’s the secret to our success and being listed as one of Asia’s Best Workplaces lets us know we are moving in the right direction,” said Monica Chia, Vice President, Human Resources, East Asia, Schneider Electric.

“If we don’t support our employees, they can’t support our customers.  It’s that simple. Our people are our most important resource and they are truly what makes Schneider Electric Singapore a great place to work. We continuously create an inclusive environment and safe space where our ultimate ambition is to generate high performance through engaged employees – world-class talents that feel valued and supported, and are empowered to make impactful and sustainable change through our business to our stakeholders," said Yoon Young Kim, Cluster President, Singapore and Brunei, Schneider Electric.

Companies were considered for the list after being selected for local honors on national Best Workplaces™ Lists. Companies were also evaluated on how well they are creating a For All™ workplace experience, where all employees are welcomed and celebrated no matter who they are or what they do. At the Best Workplaces in Asia, more employees reported high levels of care, both from their managers and from co-workers.

“When you show employees how much you care, they will reward you with hard work, higher innovation rates, and higher productivity. The Best Workplaces in Asia demonstrate the value of investing in your employees and creating an equitable environment where everyone can succeed,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work.

By creating positive workplace experiences, employees were also more likely to want to stay with their company. For employees at the Best Workplaces, 90% want to stay at their company, compared to just 58% at the typical workplace.
