After upgrade to DCE 7.8.0.46, Active Directory User Groups members can no longer log in.

Published date: 06 December 2019

Issue:
After upgrade to DCE 7.8.0.46, Active Directory User Groups members can no longer log in.

Product Line:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert.

Environment:
StruxureWare DCE upgrade from 7.7.1 to 7.8.0.46

Cause:
A change had been made to the Active Directory code which caused an unforeseen inability of Active Directory user groups members to log into the system. Individually added Active Directory users are still able to log in.

Resolution:
Please be sure this had been working prior to an upgrade. If this was a new Active Directory configuration, please be sure you've properly troubleshot all potential Active Directory issues.

DCE 7.8.0.46 was replaced with 7.8.0.47 which resolves this issue.

If you have not yet upgraded, the currently available download is the .47 version and will not exhibit this behavior.

If you have already upgraded to 7.8.0.46, you can either restore the system to 7.7.1 and bring back in a backup (we always suggest making a backup before upgrading) then upgrade to the currently available version or you can contact your local technical support and if you can allow support to remotely access your server, we can replace a file causing this issue.

Please note that we do not provide customers with root access so this must be done by APC / Schneider personnel.

You can not upgrade from 7.8.0.46 to 7.8.0.47
