How to read and write parameter to Lexium 32 from a Rockwell PLC using Add-On_Instructions function blocks

Reading and writing parameters to Lexium 32 from a Rockwell PLC via Ethernet is performed using the Add-On_instructions function blocks called MC_ReadParameter_LXM32 and MC_WriteParameter_LXM32.

The add-on-instructions include the these two function blocks making it possible to read and write to parameters within the Lexium 32 drive but the method to use the function blocks may not be clear.
This atricle was created to clarify how to use the function blocks.

Key points to remember

1 - ParameterNumber input of the function blocks should always be 1000
2 - The Class input of the function block is the first section of the CIP address
3 - The Attribute input of the function block is the last section of the CIP address
4 - Length input of the function block is based on the number of words required in a parameter ( example 1 , 2 or 4 )
5 - Value input of the function block does not accept decimal points
6 - Instance of all parameters all equal 1 so is not needed as an input to the function block
