A user may want to completely uninstall and reinstall ION Setup.

Cause
User couldn't uninstall ION Setup software from the PC/ Laptop.
Resolution
*Warning: This article contains information about editing the registry. Improper changes to the registry can permanently damage the operating system. Always backup the registry before making any changes.*
Under normal circumstances, ION Setup can be upgraded by running the installer for the new version on a PC on which ION Setup is already installed.
If a user wishes to COMPLETELY uninstall the previous version of ION Setup and start from scratch with a new version, the following procedure should be followed:
1. Uninstall ION Setup through the Control Panel "Programs and Features."
2. Remove (or rename) all traces of ION Setup in the registry.
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Schneider Electric\ION Setup)
3. Remove (or rename) all traces of ION Setup on the hard disk file system.
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\ION Setup and C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\ION Setup)
4. Install the new version of ION Setup.
