Schneider Electric Shortlisted for Operation and Performance Award at 2019 Railway Industry Innovation Ceremony
Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation has been shortlisted for the award for best breakthrough in operations and performance at the Railway Industry Innovation Awards.
Nominated for its Compact PSP – a product enabling customers to completely rethink how they approach signalling systems, Schneider Electric’s commitment to ensuring safety, security and reliability of rail networks has been recognised with this nomination.
Its Compact PSP offers a solution to Network Rail that packs all the features of a full-sized PSP such as a UPS, monitoring and connection into its intelligent infrastructure in the size of a standard location case – and at a fraction of the cost.
Network Rail has benefited from a much a lower environmental impact than a conventional PSP, both in terms of initial installation and operations. The Compact PSP has now been installed in locations all around the UK rail network and gained Network Rail product approval in January 2019.
“The UK rail market is under increasing pressures today from passengers and the rail freight industry to provide a reliable, yet safe service. These awards are an excellent way to bring together companies and individuals leading the industry into a prosperous and exciting future”, said Peter Selway, Rail Segment Marketing Manager at Schneider Electric. “We are proud to have been and want to continue in supporting the industry with our smart solutions needed to drive new levels of efficiency.
