Special format Limit switches
Our wide range of limit switches offer simplicity, durability and reliability for all applications. From robust industrial metal bodies with interchangeable heads and actuators to miniature wireless plastic limit switches using the latest technology, there will be a limit switch to suit your needs. Mechanical limit switches are common presence or position-sensing devices used in industrial automation systems. Typically, these switches are electromechanically operated, so they activate when an object makes physical contact with the actuator, which is often adjustable. Most limit switches are purely mechanical in operation, using various linkages and forced movement of the object to drive the contacts. Because these contacts are heavy duty, they can switch higher currents than other presence and position detection technologies. The benefits of limit switches include reliable detection of an object regardless of its colour, shape or size—along with position accuracy and precise repeatability.
