10% improvement in production efficiency
15% increase in stability
5% drop in production costs
Yunzhibao Foodstuff builds a state-of-the-art smart plant to meet the demands of a fast-moving market.
The Challenge
To preserve its competitive edge in an ever-changing market, Yunzhibao Foodstuff wanted to build a state-of-the-art smart factory with an intelligent and flexible management system that would deliver:
- Greater production efficiency
- Greater transparency
- Better quality control
The Solution
Apps, Analytics and Services: AVEVA Historian and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)*, expert consulting, design, delivery, and execution services Edge Control: Modicon M580 and M340 PACs, AVEVA Plant SCADA Connected Products: Harmony HMI, switches, sensors, power metres
- Expert services to identify the customer’s key challenges and design and implement the best solution.
- The Modicon M580 and M340 PACs ensure continuous production with stable and reliable performance.
- AVEVA’s MES, customised by Schneider Electric for the Food and Beverage industry, receives orders from the ERP system. It allocates them to a production line to form a batch plan which is then broken down into work orders.
- The Historian’s real-time database provides information on output, material consumption, product quality, equipment operation, and energy consumption. The data can also be used to track production processes so that if an issue arises, it can be traced to identify where the problem lies.
The Results
Since it implemented a full EcoStruxure for Food and Beverage solution, including leading-edge industrial software from AVEVA, Yunzhibao Foodstuff has realised:
- 10% improvement in production and operational efficiency through automated control and monitoring
- 15% increase in stability
- 30% reduction in labour time
- 5% drop in direct production costs
- Ability to react swiftly to fluctuating market demands
- Better standardisation, tracking and tracing
