What are APC Replacement Battery Cartridges (RBC)?
APC Replacement Battery Cartridges, also known as APC RBCs, are battery replacements for the internal battery/batteries of UPS units.
What are the typical lifecycles of the UPS unit’s internal batteries?
The typical lifecycle of the UPS unit’s internal battery/batteries depends on the battery type. For VRLA batteries, also known as lead-acid, the typical lifecycle is 3-5 years. For Lithium-ion batteries, the typical lifecycle is 8-10 years.
Does APC offer any warranties for their RBCs?
APC genuine RBCs have a 2-year warranty for VRLA Lead-Acid batteries and 5-year warranty for Lithium-ion batteries.
How do I know where to find my UPS unit’s respective RBC?
You can use the RBC Selector Tool with your UPS model number or you can follow the UPS unit’s User Manual and find the internal battery’s model number. The internal battery’s model number is consistent with the RBC model number.
