  • Solutions

    • This Guard Monitoring with Safety Module solution provides an efficient way to ensure machine safety. The Preventa XPSAV traditional safety module enables the creation of the safety circuit.
    • The documentation provides: wiring diagram, schematic diagram, explanation of application and the safety reliability calculations. The safety chain solution supports the creation of safety architectures with a Category 3 architecture PL e EN/ISO13849-1, and SIL 3 EN/IEC 62061 for the guard monitoring function.
    • The safety-related stop function is initiated by actuation of a moveable guard, designed to protect access into a hazardous zone. Opening of the guard is detected by coded magnetic switches monitored by the processing module. Safe Stop 1 is initiated by the drive decelerating movement. After a time delay the delayed safety outputs (stop category 1 EN IEC 60204-1) connected to the safe torque off (STO) inputs on the drive are deactivated.
