    • This solution Speed monitoring with Safety Module provides an efficient way to build machine safety. The Preventa XPSVNE traditional safety module enables the creation of the safety circuit.
    • The documentation provides wiring diagram, schematic diagram, explanation of application and the safety reliability calculations. The safety chain solution supports you create safety architectures with a Category 4 architecture PL e EN ISO13849-1 and SIL 3 EN IEC 62061 for the speed monitoring function.
    • After the Safety-related stop function is initiated the safety module monitors the motor as it freewheels to a stop. As the motor slows a remnant voltage is produced in the windings of the motor due to residual magnetism. The voltage is measured to detect speed of the motor and unlocking signal for locked movable guard and engaging brakes when the motor is in standstill.
