Robert Cain
Robert (Bobby) W. Cain was recently named as SVP and CIO for Schneider Electric North America. Prior to that he served as the VP Business Transformation North America. Since 2018, he has worked closely with the Schneider Electric North America executive leadership team to establish the transformation strategy in alignment with SE business priorities and manage the execution of deliverables and objectives by leveraging modern technology to expand margin, drive customer value and increase employee engagement. His high-performing team has delivered tremendous value to the business, seeing over $50M in the first two years with $100M planned over the life of the program.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Bobby spent 11 years at GE in various commercial leadership roles. He joined Schneider Electric in 2014 as VP Sales, National Sales Force, where he led a $1B sales region. Through the years, Bobby continuously exceeded goals across geographies, cultures, markets, channels, products, and customers. He delivered growth in orders and sales, gained share, reduced costs, and expanded margin in both mature and emerging markets.
Alongside his 22 years of demonstrated commercial success, Bobby brings two decades of military and leadership experience as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.
With his never-ending commitment to expanding his business and digital acumen, he has garnered subject matter expertise spanning many areas, such as: P&L management, sales management/strategy, channel development, lean six sigma, business process optimization, entrepreneurial leadership, customer focus, change management, and business transformation, to name a few.
Bobby earned his B.S. of Electrical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology before going on to receive his MBA at the University of Michigan. Additionally, he has completed executive education programs at the University of North Carolina Flagler School of Business and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
