Safety Alert for General Duty 30 & 60A, 120/240V, NEMA 3R Safety Switches
Hazard: The safety switch can potentially continue to supply electricity even in the "OFF" position. This poses a potential risk of an electric shock or electrocution hazard to consumers.
Affected Products: Impacted catalog numbers can be seen below. Products were manufactured from January 1, 2014 – January 18, 2018 (date codes 1401 – 1803 inclusive). The catalog number is located on a label on the outside of the safety switch. Information on locating the date code (for installed or uninstalled safety switch units) is included the full inspection procedures.
Remedy: Schneider Electric has provided inspection procedures for products sold and currently installed. Products will be replaced for any non-conformity identified.
